Contraindicated for anyone with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN 2. Tell your provider immediately about a neck lump, hoarseness, or trouble swallowing.
Pancreatitis. Seek immediate care for severe, persistent abdominal pain.
Kidney injury. Generally linked to dehydration from GI side effects — staying hydrated helps reduce this risk.
Serious allergic reactions. Facial/lip/tongue swelling or difficulty breathing require emergency care.
